Spotlight on Freedom HS Orlando

Go Behind the Scenes with the Freedom High School Winterguard from Orlando, Florida as they attend the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio for the first time since 2015!

A Return to World Championships

In 2015, Freedom High School colorguard tech Hikari Nitta was a high school senior, leading her team to a WGI Scholastic A Class Finals appearance and 5th place finish. This year, she accompanied the team as a staff member for their first trip back to Dayton in nearly a decade, and got to see the experience through the eyes of her students as they accomplished their goal of making it to Scholastic A Class Semi-Finals in what would prove to be an ultra competitive year in the class.  We followed Hikari and team, along with their directors, staff, and parents through their semi-finals performance at the Wright State University Nutter Center. We are grateful for their trust in choosing Ensemble Innovations for their team's designs in their first season back to Dayton, and during our first winter season, ever! Check out the video below for a full trip through their semi-finals experience, and scroll down for more photos of their flags, floor, and incredible performers.

Blue Watch Flag

This flag, designed by our art team using a Shutterstock image selected by the client, features rich dye-sublimated colors on both sides of the silk, perfectly accenting the blues in the floor.

Dark Clock Flag

This custom standard flag features a curved rectangle design cut and was a striking contrast against the floor for Freedom's flag feature at the end of the show.

Custom Printed Floor

Freedom's Custom Printed Floor set the theme for their time-centered show with a variety of blues, yellows, and rich accents. It was printed on 12oz vinyl.
