Behind the Curtain

With Pegasus A Winterguard at the 2025 WGI World Championships

There’s something electric about the atmosphere at WGI World Championships. Something that pulses with possibility, pride, and the deep emotion of a season’s journey coming to its close. For Pegasus A Winterguard, Finals night in the University of Dayton Arena was more than just a performance. It was a culmination of relentless dedication, artistry, and heart.

To Amplify

Ensemble Innovations had the distinct honor of going behind the scenes with Pegasus A as they prepared for their final performance of the season in Independent A Class Finals.

We followed them through the cadence of warm-up, down the iconic tunnel of UD Arena, a rite of passage for every performer, and finally, out onto the floor under the lights where it all came together one last time. The energy was palpable. Hugs, laughter, tears, and focused silence wove a tapestry of moments only those who have been there truly understand.

Central to that performance was a custom black and white digitally printed floor designed and produced in partnership with Ensemble Innovations and the Pegasus design team. Inspired by the Latin root of their production title, meaning “to amplify", the floor served as both canvas and catalyst. Created using our vibrant digital print process on heavy-duty vinyl, the floor balanced bold contrast with striking simplicity, giving performers a stage that visually elevated their message.

Ensemble Innovations was proud to sponsor both Pegasus A and UCF Pegasus World this season. We believe in supporting performers and teams who push boundaries, tell meaningful stories, and uplift each other along the way. Watching Pegasus A step into the spotlight at Finals was not just inspiring, it was a reminder of why we do what we do.

As the music faded and the floor was folded for the last time this season, what remained was something that can’t be printed or built: legacy.

And Pegasus A left theirs boldly amplified.

The Journey

Members of Pegasus A and their dedicated staff shared what made this finals experience unforgettable. From the joy of performing on the world stage to the deep bonds formed through shared challenge and triumph, their words reflect what makes this activity so meaningful. Director Erin Parke expressed that her favorite part of finals was "getting to watch my kids perform and have their best run this season," and shared how proud she was of them and all fo their hard work.

The Moments We Loved

Photographs from the day capture the movement, intensity, and joy of Pegasus A’s final performance- flags flying, rifles spinning, dancers in full expression. But it’s the emotion in those images; the smiles, the embraces, the stillness, that tells the deeper story. A story of young artists leaving it all on the floor, together, for one last time.
